From the moment I picked up a small book showing images of August Rodin’s The Kiss as a child visiting my public library in Brooklyn, I have loved the flow and forms of stone sculptures. The inner life of the stone revealed by my hand and smoothed to perfection is my joy. That was my calling for twenty years.
After having moved to the East End of Long Island in 1979, I turned to painting.
How could I not add painting when surrounded by the colorful landscapes, water, and light of North Haven? The trees and the water, the clouds and the sunsets are now my endless subjects in oil.
