Barbara was born in New York and attended the Stony Brook University Arts Program. She considers herself an abstract impressionist, using the flow of colors and their relationship to trigger the imagination. Her work has been described as Vibrant, Passionate and Energetic. She now dedicates herself solely to her work throughout various galleries nationally.
